Sweet Soul Patisserie

We run a small patisserie in New Zealand. This policy covers personal information you give us via our Squarespace website when you make a booking, place an order, or contact us.
1. What we collect
Only what you enter in our forms:
• Name
• Phone
• Booking date/time, party size, special requests
• Delivery address and order details (if ordering)
We do not collect data when you just browse.
2. Why we collect it
• Confirm and manage your booking or order
• Send you a confirmation or update
• Process payment (we don’t store card details)
• Reply to your message
We keep it for these purposes only.
3. Squarespace
Our site is hosted on Squarespace (Ireland). They process form data and run anonymised analytics for us. Their privacy policy: squarespace.com/privacy.
4. Who sees your data
• Our staff (only to fulfil your request)
• Payment processor (Stripe or Square – card data never reaches us)
• Courier (delivery orders only)
We do not sell or share your data for marketing.
5. Cookies
Essential cookies keep the site working. Squarespace Analytics tracks page views (anonymised). Manage cookies in your browser.
6. Security
All pages use HTTPS. Form data is encrypted in transit and at rest via Squarespace.
7. How long we keep it
• Bookings: May be kept up to 12 months
• Orders: 7 years (tax law)
• Contact messages: May be kept up to 6 months
Then we delete it.
8. Your rights (Privacy Act 2020)
You can:
• Ask what we hold about you
• Ask us to correct it
• Ask us to delete it (unless we must keep it by law)
